The 26th Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is coming in November.
The movie is directed by CloƩ Zhao, who won Oscars for his film Nomadland, and is written by his cousins Matthew and Ryan Firpo. The permanent one is expected to be released on November 5th.
Who really are Marvel's Eternals?
They are the next most powerful team to join the MCU. Marvel Studios has assembled incredible actors - including Angelina Jolie, Kit Harington and super-buff Wolverine cosplayer Kumail Nanjiani - to fill the stage.
The official abbreviation describes the Eternal as "ancient aliens who have lived on Earth in secret for thousands of years."
"Following the events of the Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite with the world's greatest enemy, The Deviants," it reads.
After the trailer landed, fans wondered how the Eternals could remain hidden through the various tragedies that befell MCU Earth, generating fond memories on social media.
The movie's first poster appeared on May 24, too, and gives off some serious sci-fi vibes.
Who's playing these all-new Marvel heroes?
▪Angelina Jolie as "fierce warrior" Thena.
▪Richard Madden as "all-powerful" Ikaris.
▪Kit Harington as Dane Whitman (who is human).
▪Barry Keoghan as "aloof loner" Druig.
▪Gemma Chan as "humankind-loving" Sersi.
▪Kumail Nanjiani as "cosmic-powered" Kingo.

▪Lauren Ridloff as "super-fast" Makkari.
1Brian Tyree Henry as "intelligent inventor" Phastos.

What's the Eternal's history in marvel comics?
Thanos may be the only Eternal sight we've seen on screen, but the Eternals have a comic history that dates back to 1976. They dreamed of Jack Kirby, the creator of the Avengers, Fantastic Four and the X-Men, behind making the New Gods very similar to DC six years earlier.
In their humorous way, they are the product of evolution on the part of the Earth's most powerful and long-lived human being. The Celestials, a group of celestial gods, were created to protect the earth. The current series, from author Kieron Gillen and singer Esad RibiÄ, began in January 2021.
We’ve seen a few Celestials in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie - especially the Knowhere space station (actually a Celestial head cut off) and Peter Quill’s father, Ego, (who took on the human form) in the second Flickians.
